Trixie is an approximately 4 year old Pit Bull mix with a stunning blue coat and an even sweeter soul. At around 50 pounds, she is the perfect size for just about anything. She is always up for an adventure, but she is just as happy curling up beside you for a cozy evening at home.
Jasper is an approximately 1-year-old Doberman and Pit Bull mix whose life was nearly cut short before it truly had the chance to begin.
Just one day before Jasper was rescued, our team worked tirelessly to save another young dog named Butters. Despite having an approved adopter and advocates fighting for him, Butters was euthanized before receiving the second chance he deserved. We promised that his life would not be forgotten.
The following day, Jasper was placed on the euthanasia list because of indirect parvo exposure, even though he had never tested positive or been housed near an infected dog. With the help of a wonderful local foster, dedicated advocates, and volunteers, Jasper was safely pulled from the shelter just in time—in honor of Butters.
Jasper is a confident, quiet, and low-energy boy who loves people and wants nothing more than to be close to his person. He is the ultimate Velcro buddy and has shown a special attachment to his foster dad—he is definitely a man’s dog! Whether he is following you from room to room or relaxing quietly by your side, Jasper is happiest when he is near someone he loves.
He is also very dog friendly and absolutely loves spending time with other dogs. His playful side comes alive around canine friends, and he does a wonderful job matching their play style. Jasper is smart, eager to please, and already knows his basic commands.
Jasper is officially adoptable and is also in need of a foster home while he waits for his forever family. He will be neutered before his adoption is finalized.
Jasper’s second chance is a meaningful reminder of why this work matters so much. Now, he needs someone willing to give him the safe, loving future that Butters, and every shelter dog deserves.
