Hi, I’m Jackie Worley, Executive Director, Adoption Coordinator, and Event Coordinator for Pits and Pals K9 Rescue.
With eight years of hands-on rescue experience, I’ve fostered and rehabilitated dogs from a wide range of backgrounds, including many who were considered “difficult” or misunderstood. Professionally, I bring the organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills I’ve developed throughout my career as a paralegal to help ensure the rescue runs smoothly behind the scenes, allowing us to focus on what matters most, saving lives.
My passion for rescue has always been rooted in helping the dogs who need us the most. I believe every dog deserves someone willing to look beyond labels and give them a chance. As the owner of misunderstood dogs myself, I’ve experienced firsthand the stigma surrounding pit bulls, but I also know that many breeds are unfairly judged. Every dog deserves to be seen as an individual.
Community outreach has always been at the heart of our mission. I believe that whenever possible, families should be able to keep the companions they love. Our dogs are often our most loyal and constant source of comfort, and I’m passionate about providing resources, education, and support that help keep pets with the people who love them.
No matter the challenge, I’m committed to finding solutions. Whether it’s pulling a dog from a euthanasia list, coordinating medical care, or finding the perfect foster or forever home, I’ll do everything I can to ensure a dog in need receives the safety, compassion, and second chance they deserve.
When I’m not working with the rescue, you’ll usually find me traveling with my husband, especially if the destination is Hawaii, or spending a day at Disneyland, my happy place. And if you spend enough time around me, don’t be surprised if I randomly break into song. Life is too short not to enjoy the little moments.
