Our Angel Luna 💜
Some dogs find a forever home. Others become forever family.
Luna came to us two years ago after being rescued on what was meant to be her final day. We spent those years believing her perfect family was still out there, but in the end, Luna showed us that she had already found exactly where she belonged.
After Luna was diagnosed with advanced large cell lymphoma, her incredible foster, Maddy, made her place in the family official and adopted her. Although they had been family in every way that mattered for years, Luna finally had Maddy’s last name and the forever home she had always deserved.
Luna’s final days were filled with love. She spent the weekend at the beach, enjoyed plenty of delicious food, and was showered with affection by the team members who loved her. When it was time to say goodbye, Luna passed peacefully at home with her mama, Maddy, beside her—the person who had loved, protected, and cared for her through every chapter.
Maddy gave Luna two beautiful years filled with patience, comfort, adventure, soft beds, favorite treats, and the security of knowing she would never be alone again. Their bond was extraordinary, and we will always be grateful that Luna knew what it meant to be completely and unconditionally loved.
Luna’s story did not end the way we had hoped, but she left this world knowing she belonged. She was safe. She was cherished. She was home.
Luna was family, and she always will be. Rest peacefully, sweet girl. ❤️🌈
